Privacy Policy

AYNI (عيني) is an AI dashcam and driving awareness app for iPhone. This policy explains what the app can access, where your data lives, and the choices you have.

The short version: AYNI is designed to minimize data collection. Most core processing happens on-device — detection runs on your iPhone, and your recordings stay on your iPhone unless you choose to export or share them.

Camera

AYNI uses your iPhone's camera for the live road view, for on-device detection, and for incident recording. Camera frames are analyzed in real time on your device. AYNI does not send your camera feed to AYNI servers.

On-device AI processing

AI processing in AYNI is intended to happen on-device, using Apple's Neural Engine. Detections — such as vehicles, pedestrians, traffic lights and stop signs — are computed locally as you drive, not in the cloud.

Location and speed

With your permission, AYNI may use your location to show GPS speed and heading, to provide trip context, and to attach GPS "sidecar" metadata (such as a GPS track and speed) to incident recordings and reports. Location data used this way is processed on your device and stored locally as part of your recordings and reports. You can decline or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings; location-based features (like the speed display) will then stop working.

Microphone

The microphone is used only if you enable audio recording in AYNI. If audio recording is off, AYNI does not record audio. You can change microphone access at any time in iOS Settings.

Incident videos and reports

Incident videos and their accompanying reports are stored locally on your device — in AYNI's in-app gallery and, if you allow Photos access, in your photo library. They remain on your device unless you export, save or share them yourself (for example through the iOS share sheet). Once you share a recording, its further use is under your control and the control of whoever you share it with.

Photo library

If you grant permission, AYNI uses photo library access only for saving and exporting your videos. AYNI does not scan or collect the rest of your photo library.

Purchases and subscriptions

AYNI Pro subscriptions are offered through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Payments are processed by Apple, not by AYNI, and Apple may process purchase-related information — such as receipts and transaction status — under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. AYNI may receive limited transaction information from Apple in order to unlock and manage Pro features. AYNI never sees your payment card details.

What AYNI does not do

• AYNI does not sell personal data.
• AYNI does not upload your videos to AYNI servers. If cloud features are ever added in the future, they will be disclosed, and this policy will be updated before they ship.
• AYNI does not require an account to use the app.

Data retention

Because recordings and reports are stored locally, retention is in your hands: you can delete clips in the app or in Photos at any time, and deleting the app removes its local data. AYNI cannot access, restore or recover recordings stored only on your device.

Recording other people and local laws

Dashcam recordings can capture other people, vehicles and license plates. You are responsible for using AYNI in line with the laws that apply where you drive, including any rules about recording in public places, audio recording and windshield mounting.

Your controls

You can review or change AYNI's access to the camera, microphone, location and Photos at any time in iOS Settings. The app will keep working with reduced functionality where possible.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if new features change how data is handled — this page and its effective date will be updated.
