Nexar Classic’s current support guide describes pairing its app with a Nexar dashcam. Installing that companion app is therefore different from using the iPhone camera alone. Check the exact Nexar model and app; capabilities vary between products.
For a software-only setup, the phone supplies the camera. You still need a secure mount, a clear view, suitable power and enough storage. Avoid choosing solely because an app’s name contains “dashcam”: establish where the video actually comes from and how you retrieve it.
