Saving an incident clip in AYNIcam

Give the buffer time to fill

AYNIcam keeps a rolling buffer while its recording pipeline is active. Saving an incident uses recent available frames, helping retain moments before you tap. Immediately after starting or resuming the camera, less history may be available. It cannot recover a scene from before the app was recording. Set up the camera and verify the view before departure.

Understand your plan’s recording limits

Free saves clips up to 20 seconds at HD 720p, with an AYNI watermark and no microphone audio, in driving context. Pro offers up to 30 seconds at Full HD 1080p, a timestamp instead of the watermark, and microphone audio when permission is granted. Pro also permits saving while parked. Actual saved history depends on the available buffer.

Let a save finish

When safe, use Record Incident and let the countdown and save complete. Opening a different app or receiving an interruption can affect camera availability. If you are driving, keep your attention on the road and wait until parked to review the result. A visible save confirmation is more useful than assuming every tap produced a complete clip.

Review before relying on a clip

Open Clips and play the new item. Check that it shows the intended moment, that the image is readable and that expected audio is present. Free clips are intentionally silent; Pro audio also needs permission and an available microphone. Use the available share or export action to keep an important copy in a destination you control.

Watch gallery limits and storage

The Free in-app gallery keeps the latest three clips. Pro removes the app-imposed clip-count limit, but iPhone storage remains finite. Preserve important clips before later recordings replace them, and check available device storage. Local recording is not automatic cloud backup. If a clip is missing, check the gallery, save completion and storage before recording more.
