A parking view is not an unattended security camera

Do not treat AyniCam’s Parking View as overnight surveillance. It shows assistance from the same forward-facing iPhone camera while you use the app. It does not supply a rear camera, 360-degree coverage or a verified unattended recording mode.

When searching for an “iPhone dashcam parking mode,” first decide whether you want help positioning the car or footage captured after you leave it. These are different jobs, with different requirements for power, camera access, recording triggers and storage.

Choose the parking function you actually need

Stationary recording does not mean automatic parking surveillance

Pro’s stationary saving still depends on the camera recording being active. A saved clip contains up to 30 seconds of available recent footage at 1080p. That is different from a camera waking after an impact, detecting movement for hours, or recording every minute overnight. Free’s up-to-20-second, 720p silent clips require an active driving context.

Neither the word “Parking” nor the ability to save while stopped proves what will happen after you lock the phone, close the app or disconnect power. Do not advertise or rely on a protection mode that has not been verified.

Dedicated parking modes have their own power requirements

For example, Garmin’s Dash Cam Mini 3 manual requires an always-on power connection or the specified parking accessory for parked recording. This is a model-specific example, not a universal promise for every dashcam. Check the exact camera, compatible power accessory and installation instructions.

Before buying, ask whether the system records continuously, on impact or on motion; how long it operates; and whether remote notifications require connectivity or a separate service. A product name alone cannot answer these questions.

Leaving an iPhone in a car introduces another constraint

Apple warns that parked cars can exceed an iPhone’s temperature limits and advises against leaving the device in one. Charging the phone does not make unattended use suitable. Do not turn a spare phone into an overnight security setup merely because it is available.

A practical checklist before choosing a setup

  1. Write down the job: assistance while you remain in the vehicle, a manually saved stopped clip, or unattended monitoring.
  2. Identify which direction must be visible. Draw the camera’s actual sightline, including blind spots.
  3. Read the exact conditions for recording and saving. Distinguish a recent buffer from an archive and automatic event capture.
  4. Check power and installation requirements with the vehicle owner or an appropriate installer. Avoid unapproved wiring changes.
  5. Review an exported sample from your intended mode while safely stopped, where stationary saving is supported.
  6. For unattended security, choose equipment explicitly intended for that use and verify its limitations before relying on it.

Can AI make a front-facing phone see behind the car?

No. AyniCam’s estimates come from the camera image; a simplified display or estimated distance is not a new camera angle. Continue using direct observation, mirrors and the vehicle’s own assistance systems as appropriate. AyniCam does not control the vehicle or guarantee detection of every obstacle.
